Blog summary #3 ( Last but not least)

wow... That went by a lot faster than i ever thought possible. I am really happy with how the semester roll out for me. First semester here at Concordia was pretty fun(never thought i would say that about school). Yeah there was a couple bad choices( class wise), but Hey! you live you learn.

I think the point that i have really focused on the most over the past 12 weeks is, How easy and fun leisure education can be. We discussed so much information in class it was not always easy to suck it all up, but after watching & doing all the presentations it opened my eyes up even more to how easy and fun leisure educating people can be. Now, as i take time to think in the future i will past down my learning even more then i use too. In the summer time like i mentioned earlier on in my blogs i am a Coordinator of a day camp. what that means it kids are always looking up to me and watching what i do, imagine the power i can have on them to influence them at a young age to try amazing new experience ( nature, sports, relaxing, arts etc...). And also as i continue to work with the Canadiens( Community Relations department). I can try somehow and work the idea's and techniques i learned in class into the work place.

It's nice to say when you finish a class that you are taking something from it that you will use in the "Real world". Thanks!

Cheers

Got Leisure?

The answer is no, not really. At this point in my life i havent had much time to leisure. i am hoping that by the end of this week i will be able to take a day off of my weekend to just relax and enjoy. i understand school in my life is important but their is also limits. One has to have time to leisure, i'm not saying i don't leisure at all anymore, i'm just not doing all the different types of leisuire i want to.

Well.... like this post is all about, i gotta go cause i have ton's more homework to attend too.

Till i write again.

Mike

Thanksgiving/closing of the cottage

I only now realize that i forgot to talk about my Thanksgiving weekend/closing of my girlfriends cottage.

It was an amazing weekend because i love the fall air it's so fresh and clear. my girlfriend, her sister and i went for an amazing walk and just relaxed, it was a great time to decompress.

On the bad hand , it's sad to have to close the cottage cause we know we won't be back till next summer :(. but that's life.

Till i write again!

Blog Summary #2

Already past the half way point in my first university semester. Wow does time fly when your busy. It seems like summer was so long ago with the amount of things i have been trying to concentrate on lately.

Does this Blog summer #2 mean that i know understand leisure in my life more then i have before?Bad news... i don't think so, i do know on the other hand that i have to try and include more leisure experience because my life is only going to get more and more hectic( which i have to admit i enjoy). i have always been an active person but as mentioned in my last couple of blogs i have been trying new leisure experiences trying to see different aspect that i could include in my leisure lifestyle that are not already included.

One thing i do have to work on more is organizing my life a little bit more, just so i don't have to be doing things at the last minute all the time.I guess that will come with time just like everything else has in my life.

Until i write again!
Cheers!

New Leisure Experience?

how should i start this? New leisure experience? or is that just what i want you to read...

this past weekend , friday to be exact.... My girlfriend and i decided to get up early that morning and do something with our day.. something new, something fun... So we narrowed down the choice to two choices; one: the Biodome, and two: the botanical gardens. Just our luck, well more mine then my girlfriends, she gets her way most of the time. The price to visit, Biodome, Botanical and Insectarium was all in one package. so off we were.

I found this day a new leisure experience because the two other times i have been to the Biodome was with school and it had to do with a course i was taking. It had been over 8 years since i had been so i was pretty exciting. I also really enjoyed the gardins, it was a Holloween festival on top of that so it was unique as well.

I consider my girlfriends and I relationship pretty active because we enjoy to do things outside(bike, ski, camp, swim, rollerblade, snowboard etc...) this experience was different because we stayed active while walking around and learning new things( if not brushing up on my nature facts). The day flew by in what seemed like 1 hour when really it was about 4 and half. Before i knew it i was driving her to work and the night was over.

I hope to have some pics posted up soon(awaiting on her to load them off her camera!)

Till i type next, Thanks for reading.

Cheers

Blah!

I think you can tell over the past week i have not blogged.... now what does that tell you about me ? i'm lazy and don't want to blog ... I wish.

These past days i havent had time to do much, i was either at one of my two jobs or doing homework or sleeping. Today when i got home i promiss myself i would not even do any school activities but look @ me , i'm writting on my blog.

On a more personal note the reason why im writing on my blog is to let out what i did today when i got home from school at 8 after a midterm that i had. I went over to my girlfriends house which it had seemed like i hadnt seen in forever when really i saw her sunday night, but we have been both so cought up in our studies its like we have been working/playing beside eachother and not with each other. We both put everything aside and just went for a nice walk in this beautiful fall weather we are having ( i love the smell of the fall air its so chrisp) we just talked about everything from school to work to even us. She told me all about her trip to Quebec city( she went to the World Leisure Congress on monday).

In short form, i don't think it was really the conversation we had that made it special in my mind but more the time that we spent together alone with not a care in the world or even an idea of what the time was that made the night. It was a leisurely activity that i had not even thought about doing till that way home in the car.

Till i write again!
